Who wants a core?  How about 8?  FREE Parallax Propeller board for review

I have a Parallax P8X32A Propeller QuickStart board that I've not gotten the chance to use yet:

The P8X32A QuickStart is a simple and accessible development platform for the P8X32A Propeller microcontroller.
The QuickStart is an evaluation board for the Propeller. As an open-source reference design the QuickStart board provides basic Propeller circuitry. Developers may use our PCB layout files as their own to speed their project towards completion. As a project board the QuickStart is fully expandable and provides unimpeded access to all I/O pins through an expansion header but includes some button inputs and LEDs to demonstrate programming. With USB power and a selection of QuickStart Project examples it's also the fastest way to get up and running.

I'm going to give this board for free to a lucky a Community member with the request that the winner please write a review (either in the blog here in this group or somewhere else on the web).  It doesn't have to be anything fancy - don't be intimidated.  Sorry, no minors, you must be 18 years of age or older!

To enter, do the following:

  • Reply to this post with a short description of why you are interested (1 to 2 sentences is fine)
  • I'll will pick a winner at random on Wednesday, November 13th, at 5pm US CDT.

Note: I'm located in Chicago and will ship it for free to the winner using the lowest cost option available.  If the winner is located outside the US, then the winner will be responsible for paying any customs fees or duty that may apply.  I will list the value as $35 USD.

I'll also include this robot badge, too:

In addition to the Parallax boards being OSHW, the very nice P8X32A Propeller has 8 real physical cores on the chip, the real thing (they call them " cogs "), unlike the 8 so-called "logical cores" of…

Thank you so much Drew, I will do an excellent review on this for everyone. I am half way through building an 8x8x8 LED cube and this will be an excellent control computer. I will post the review here and on my web site www.pivelopment.com .

    Thank you again

    Hi Drew,

UPS got a part of my address wrong, it's 178 St. and they had 173 St. I can't change this with them, they said only the sender can. If required my phone number is 587-988-7766.

I want to thank you again for this wonderful oportunity to make my project even more spectacular!!

Hi - I sent you a direct message.  I had UPS change it to the correct street number.
