I am starting this discussion in regards to feeds and speeds for milling/engraving with miniature CNC mills. I will soon be getting a Shapeoko and would like to share experiences.
Some guidelines:
If you are speaking to a specific material please state-
Tool: ie Ball end mill
Diameter: ie 1/4" DIA
Feeding speed:
Cutting speed: (may be approximated or given in terms relating to spindle)
Spindle type: Moto tool, Rigid 1.5HP router, etc.
Material: ie laminate plastic, HDPE, Red oak, etc.
