Seeking Someone to Write a Tutorial on Charge Pumps Including Building Some Examples

I am interested in sponsoring a member to write a tutorial on charge pumps.

I'd like the member to:

a) explain what they are

b) explain how they work

c) build a few variants of charge pumps.

I would buy all the parts. And I would throw in a "surprise" yet new dev board left over from previous roadtests.

If anyone is interested, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Randall Scasny

I don't know about doing a whole tutorial, but I could possibly contribute an example build and description. I designed a pretty heavy duty multi-stage charge pump quite a while ago with 10uf capacitors…

Thanks for the comment. This idea got started with James Lewis's mention of of switch capacitor power supplies. And then I thought of charge pumps. However, a DC - Dc switched capacitor p.s. is another…

Douglas, Interesting.....in 1 week! The tutorial was my first idea. I'm not committed to it. I know you have a busy schedule. But it would be interesting to have the story on the community. Some photos…

I am yet to explore the field, I usually have couple of dc/dc convertors that I use all the time.

It will be great to explore charge pumps.

Plus Dave (eevblog ) has couple of videos on charge pump I guess that can be of great help.

All in all it can be a great learning for me image

    Regards,

    G S Gill

    Thanks for the comment.

This idea got started with James Lewis's mention of of switch capacitor power supplies. And then I thought of charge pumps. However, a DC - Dc switched capacitor p.s. is another circuit I'd like to get more info on for our members. I guess my interest is getting content/projects on what I call "the roots of electronics" -- basic circuitry instead on IoT system design projects.

If you don't, I can probably help you with parts.

    Thanks.

I have some DC/DC converters lying around but not charge pumps.

    For a future note image

I will check to see if I have enough parts to build it....
