    Hi ZZ,

Good thought and few I believe have already implemented, below link from google gives a pdf describing home setup on roof with PV solar.

    http://www.energy.ca.gov/reports/2003-03-11_500-03-014F.PDF

as to designinng is concerned it looks a mere indepth understanding of complete home area power requirements to the heating and lighting circuits you use, and based on that procure PV panels and install with a circuit to monitor , protect and deliver needs.

    Regards

    Tanvir

    hi

    Tanvir!

Solar energy used in water heating is a mature technology, but for producing electric power it is just beginning. Energy collecting is a difficulty and efficiency is low. And the cost is very high.Waiting for solar panel cost down or this power system can be come true.

I believe the technology is not the problem!

    Hi

    ZZ:

The structure of solar power system is simple, it make up of solar panel, battery charger, batterry, inverter and load .For solar energy is unstable and discrete, the inverter or the battery charger must has a function of MPPT(maximum power point tracker) to improve the efficiency. And is this system connect to the power-grid, this system must have the function of anti-islanding detection. These two technology are very difficult to deal with. But both of them are important, one is about efficiency and another is safety.
