    Thanks Tanvir..

    It was really helpful, However I beileve the consumption on 12V DC in our desing will be minimum 1.25A ..Do you relly suggest to use unregulated 12V supply for that ?

    I also do not have any idea about the internal power supply design of the device, which will get 12V direct from this source..So I am not sure if I plug unregulated power source to it then what will happen.

    Hi Rizwan,

    The products suggested are regulated PS. with required current ratings, is the reason you get constant 12V o/p for your needs. Can you tell let me know what exactly (product) are you powering up ?

    Regards

    Tanvir

    Hi Tanveer,

    Please note that , we are planing to power up USB hub which has screw terminal for the power in pin. Acording to the catalog of the hub, it requires maximum 1.25A current at 12V. The DC input range is from 9-24V DC.

    The Power supply suggested are unregulated for DC O/P and regulated for the AC as per the data sheet of the source.

    The regulation factor of the source is, around 20% (Data sheet doesn't have the information, for what load it is calculated, I believ it must be for the full load that is 2A for the second option)..

    In this case, voltage at 2A can go down upto,

    .35 = 12 - x/12

    12x.35 = 12 -x

    4.2=12 -x

    x=7.8V

    So system Volatge can go down to 7.8V at 2A..So at 1.25A may be it can go down to , 9.3V.Which is however in the range but what will happen on using this source we can't say any thing wihtout knowing the internal power supply design of the HUB ....

    Apart from this, These sources are quite costly as well..Please let me know if you have any other idea regarding the requirement. May be we can remove the requirement of UL listed..
