Hi I need to find a way to get 400hz/115vac/3phase cheaply.. Im a digital person...
any thoughts.
The unit could be powered from a 28vdc source but better yet 115ac house hold 15amp circuit

The Ti C2000 with InstaSPIN-FOC enabled C2000 Piccolo LaunchPad - LAUNCHXL-F28027F - TI Tool Folder might be a good idea it can do alot of the 3 phase stuff in firmware for you already and very cheaply or maybe look at the ton of atmega328 based ESC`s that are used for RC aircraft and just beef up the controller fets you can pick an esc to play with on ebay for about £4 GBP just an idea also i came across this that might help Make this 3 Phase Inverter Circuit | Homemade Circuit Projects
Mike what I need is to read a synchro, that is I need to generate 400hz 3phase for the stators (A, B, C) and then find the phase shift between A and the rotor. Then to write the synchro you need to generate A, B, C and then apply a phase shifted signal A - rotor, to get the display to move.. ie for 90deg phase shift you should end up with 90deg on the pointer.
Fun huh
3 phase any thing is something i have not had much time to play with but it does sound interesting and i do think the C2000 could help due to the large amount of tools and software already written for reading and controlling all things 3 phase but good luck mate i wish i could help more
