Charging two 18650 batteries with one TP4056 module

yukardo

Hello,

I want to know if it is possible to charge two 3.7 V 18650 batteries with one TP4056 module.

The batteries would be connected in parallel.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks.

Obviously you are doing this to get more battery capacity. What is the battery capacity you are aiming for ? MK

You can, as paralleled cells behave like one larger cell. Charge time will be longer, accordingly. Just be sure the cells you are paralleling are of the same make/model/capacity/state of charge/age and don't parallel more than the manufacturer's limit (normally 3 or 4 cells).

" ... the same make/model/capacity/state of charge/age ..", is required, otherwise a damage to cell or charger or both may result. I would not take a chance considering that  the TP4056 module is a small fraction of the cost of 18650.
