Global Connector Technology (GCT) has released a new range of value for money surface mount and thru hole DC power jacks in 0.65mm, 2.00mm, 2.35mm & 2.50mm centre pin diameters, all parts are available from Premier Farnell.
The range spans current ratings from 1.5A to 8.0A and features high current, shielded variations in both vertical & right angle orientation.
Finding the correct DC jack can be difficult especially given the large variety of plug and jack sizes. The GCT website is designed to help customers who have a plug and are not sure which jack to choose. It offers simple search functionality for rapid selection allowing customers to search by jack pin size, plug inner and outer dimensions, current rating, PCB orientation, mount type and jack cavity size
All of GCT’s DC power jacks are tested to 5,000 mating cycles and offer an operating temperature range of -25°C to 70°C.
