In this application note we examine the V500HT NiMH cell from VARTA Microbattery and its use as a battery to power outdoor lighting after being charged using solar energy.
The V500HT NiMH cell is a highly capable 1.2V NiMH cell that is manufactured in Germany and is UL approved.
It can be trickle charged and has a good over charge capability. Pls see the attached cell data sheet for its full specification.
It can be combined into packs consisting of up to 10 cells to give various voltage levels up to 12V (10 cells at 1.2V each).
