How to build a remote control robot

randyskelly

I was always been looking to build a remote control robot. Today I found this robotic car control using STM32F4 discovery broad(ARM Cortex M4)and SainSmart 3.2" TFT LCD

Anyone know how to build it? I wonder if I can use this board instead

Hi Randy, The short answer is that you can build an equivalent RC vehicle with a large number of different components. It all depends upon what you intend to do with it. Any basic vehicle chassis will…

    Hi Randy,

I think it is completly posible, you only have to migrate your code from stm32f407 to the stm32f107. But if you don't have the code, I strongly recommend you using just one hardware for the car, using BT instead of zigbee, and control the car from an android cell phone. I think the whole project will be easier.

For example, using an RN42 for the BT, you will be able to configure the SPP of the BT over the air from an android phone, for example with the app BlueTerm avaliable on GooglePlay.

    Some example on youtube:

I have used before RN42 to read an 8 analog input MODBUS module from my cell phone, so, if help needed, ask me.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

    Miguel
