Hi Anupam,
It appears that the rotation is done in the middle ring.
The center pole supports the upper ring at the top and everything swings off the center ring.
I could be wrong, but that's what it looked like to me.

but the main question is hw is it rotating about about the pole's axis there seems to be no actuator there??

My guess is that the robot hangs from the peg on the pole and a small wheel is mounted on the center ring to swing the robot around.
You can hear a motor run when the robot swings around.

but hw will having the motor at the center rotate the bot about the pole which is some other axis??
isn't it more likely that the lower gripper has some wheel that rotates n hence the bot rotates about the pole??
I see some driving belt in the lowest section, wouldn't those rub against the pole in order to rotate?
