I don't care if it is on-line or not, I just need a good teacher,

so I can become the best at what I love (Please include links).

stop by societyofrobots.com its a good community, and where I got a lot of help initially (many moons ago).  The book robot builders bonanza is also pretty good, however it is getting a tad dated.  Overall the internet is your friend.  Check out applicable open source hardware and software projects to learn by example.  As for the mechanical side of things I would find a source on kinematics that suits your style of learning best.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Could you mention what kind of stuff you are looking for?

If it's going to be your first robot, then these links might be helpful.

    1. http://www.societyofrobots.com/robot_tutorial.shtml

    2. http://www.robotshop.com/blog/en/how-to-make-a-robot-lesson-1-3707

these were the ones I used to kickstart myself. You can use arduino as your developement board, coz it has a very good community support and has many sensor/devices support libraries.

If you are looking for some kind of advanced functionalities and mostly on the software side of robotics, these may be useful

    1. Adding 'eyes' to your robot' : http://opencv.org/

    2. Simulation before building : http://gazebosim.org/

If you want to do even more stuff, you can take a look at ROS.org | Powering the world's robots. I would suggest if you have atleast a BeagleBone(or you laptop is fine if it has enough space), they try this one. It has lots of capabilities.

    Wishing great times ahead,

    vish

    Go check out that simulator.

A bit hard to use, but free and you can program any kind of robot that you want (wheeled).

That is not beginner level but on the sit there are some really good tutorial to get started.

I don't know some good links but I just googled every time I need a good resource. Here's what I did with mine:

    1. I planned and decided what to build as a robot. I decided to build a rover.
    2. I looked for similar projects and needed components (platform, MCU, motors, sensors, etc.)
    3. I purchased them one by one. I purchased the rover 5 platform, arduino, dagu controller, sensor shield.
    4. I continued my research and realised I can use my android phone as a brain.
    5. I learned to code arduino and android.
    6. Started working.

    Hope this helps.
