Led help?

bradnorwood

I have a simple project I need help with. It's a dual 10 LED light which hangs from my glasses to light the area I'm working on. It's nothing major but, I'm good at 3d printing but know very little in electronics. They are 3 mm LED's 3.2 volts 20 ma. Can someone help me with wiring this to an easy battery pack that I can attached to my belt etc. It needs to power 20 of them and last for 2-4 hours maybe. thx!

keep it up, I like your approach, just trying to help you get it right without doing it for you , I would do the same to my own son as it helps in the learning and your learning nicely regards Peter

A very efficient way to drive a bunch of LEDs is to connect them in series and use a DC-to-DC switching regulator to raise your battery voltage up to whatever is needed to provide a given current for the…

What he said, the more in series the more efficient (And less components)

Another quick way to save a bit of time is to put all the negative's of the LED's in the negative rail on the bread board. Put the negative leed of the battery in that rail, put the positive of the battery in the positive rail, join the positive rail to each of the positives on the LED's with a resistor.
