I started designing a small sonar bottom profiling based off an old design that worked but the manufacturer went out of business and the tech was old and needed improvements. I started by having an electrical engineering company duplicate the original and I had them do it chip for chip resistor for resistor. But when I tested it, it worked, but not correctly. This is where my electrical expertise ends, you see my background is in mechanical and manufacturing. So I guess what I want to know is where should I go from here? I am a one person show here so whatever the solution is I hope it isn't to expensive. I am not opposed to taking on a partner who knows electronics in this as long as they can get it to work.
