I am planing to use LSM303DLHC in my project. It will be inside aluminum box. for acceleration, it will not be a problem, but how about for magnetometer ?
Will alumina shield earth magnetic field that i am trying to measure ? I can deal with 10% errors

    I would agree with jw0752.

If you experience any interference from the Aluminium enclosure you could interface the Magnetometer via an external connection. The device could then be housed in a better environment within a plastic enclosure. This external enclosure could even be mounted onto the exterior of the Aluminium enclosure.
