Received Duratool Cabinet Organizer Giveaway prize

Hello everyone. I was selected as a one of winners of Organize Your Workbench Wishlist and Giveaway and I received Duratool storage cabinet 2 days ago.

image

It is Duratool SPC11296. It has 30 equal sized cabinets. From the back there are holes at all four corners for mounting it on the wall.

image

Whole storage cabinet including chasis is from plastic, cabinets are transparent which is nice because you can briefly see content without opening it. Every cabinet has three splitter positions, so you can optionally split one cabinet to more cells. There are 8 possible split options, so you can for example split it in this way:

Or in this way making narrow middle cell:

While there are 30 cabinets according to datasheet only 10 splitters are bundled. In my case I received 11 splitters (one more). So, it is designed that you split only some cabinets and most cabinets you use without splitting them. Splitter has written “TOP 35/52” on it and it looks it is standard, so you can buy more splitters or even you can print them on 3D printer if you have one.

It is designed for storing small components like screws, terminals, connectors, resistors, capacitors, small PCBs, and so on.

image

Some components which I refer as a medium also fit there. These components do not fit small boxes from AliExpress (or my paperboxes which I used as entry for this competition Blush) but they fit this Duratool cabinets well. For example, Nokia 5110 Display and NFC reader can be stored here.

In opposition for example Arduino uno overflown a little and because of having barrel jack terminal you can’t close cabinet (without using force of course).

image

To summarize: it is nice storage cabinet. I moved some components here which allowed me to organize components in the better and more systematic wany than before. Remaining two free cabinets I will fill soon, I think. Thank Element14 for this gift.
