A huge thank you to the E14 community that chose me as one of the lucky winners for the Wishlist - What do you need for Soldering? giveaway. This is my first prize/gift from the E14 community and that makes it special for me!
A rather big (and beat up) box was delivered to my door.
Inside this box, another box came out. Extra space was filled with paper.
Still, some "love marks" from shipping are visible on the inside box, but the nice packaging successfully defended the precious product inside. Other than the main piece, from the box came out a small piece of paper with specs and warnings and a bag with spare filters. I did not expect that and it's a nice addition!
And here it is my new shiny fume extractor, side to side with my previous DIY attempt using an old 12V PC fan. Compared to my former setup, this new piece of equipment looks quite nice and professional!
I think that everybody that does solder needs some sort of fume extraction, even a simple fan as I used before is perfect for hobby work (I don't like flux smell at all ).
For those who could be interested I tried to make a short video showing noise level and working distance of this product. It's not a good video by any means, but I hope that at least these two points are clearly shown.
Let's go solder!
