FCC / CE Test house - recommendations for a start up

Do you have a recommendation for an FCC / CE Test house with offers reasonable costs?

  • Well, first you might consider telling us where you are - it might narrow the field down a bit image

     

    Then you could tell us what kind of device you want to have tested , and maybe indicate the kind of price you hope to pay.

    many thanks for your quick answer!

     

    We are located in Germany, Munich.

    It is about an inductive charger.

     

    We are a start up in an early phase, so money is tight. But we are aware, that FCC is required.

    Sorry - I'm in the UK so can't help much.

    Generally I've found that you get much better service and lower cost from small local labs rather than the multi-national chains.

     

    It may be different in Germany.

     

    If you can't get a good recommendation just visit the test lab nearest you and see if you like them. (You can get quotes from others to compare - expect to have to provide quite  a lot of information to get a quote.)

  • Around here these test facilities charge about $2000 per day and it could take a few days.

    One thing you should do to minimize cost is try hard to make sure your device passes on the first visit to a test facility.

    Do your homework on how to design your system to pass and try to test your system yourself before going for certification at a 3rd party facility.
