Fluke has introduced the latest member of its family of clamp meters: the Fluke 365 Detachable Jaw True-rms AC/DC Clamp Meter.
The new Fluke 365 has a thin, small jaw design that makes it easy to get around tightly packed wires. And the current clamp jaw is detachable, making it more convenient to access wires in difficult spaces, while holding the clamp meter body where readings are easy to see. In normal situations the jaw remains attached to the meter body, but, when required, it can be removed and clamped to the wire under test. The meter body remains attached to the jaw through a flexible three-foot lead.
The Fluke 365’s jaw measures current up to 200A ac and dc, up to 600V ac and dc and provides 6000-Ohm resistance measurement and continuity detection. Features include a back-lighted display and a built-in flashlight to help illuminate the work location and identify wires.
The device fits in the hand and is designed to be easily used by technicians wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). The meter is safety rated for use in IEC/EN 61010-1:2001, CAT III 600 V environments.
The Fluke 365 has a US list price of $248.
