    Hi Gordon, you can use scilab software as a matlab alternative..its an open sourse software.. https://www.scilab.org/ visit this website to download the software. thanks.

    Hi Gordon,

     

    TCL and Expect may be useful, if your test tools connect via (say) a serial interface or IP.

    There is a free alternative to Matlab (GNU Octave), but I'm not sure what it's capabilities are in the area of test automation. I'd be interested to know!
