Keithley 2701

peterjcs23
peterjcs23 over 8 years ago

I'm thinking about buying a Keithley 2701 multimeter to test current sensors. I like the idea of an instrument with built in logging and control sequence capability. Has anyone used this instrument? And do you like it? Have there been any snags?

Regards, Peter

The Keysight things are all nicer to use and much easier to use - the Keithley things have some very nice features but can be painful to get working right.

Look very carefully at the  34972A34972A before you jump in with the Keithley and if you are feeling bold(bolder than me obviously'coz I went the the  34972A34972A you could look at the Rigol M300 series(in the UK currently on a promotion

Hi Michael thanks for the feedback I've checked out the  34972A34972A and the Rigol M300 as well as the Keithley 2701 I've taken on board your experience with Keithley I've been caught out buying instruments that are hard to use that is why I posed the question here I have downloaded the control software from each of them to get a feel for their capability I have Agilent instruments and have specified them with some confidence in LabView driven ATE I'm attracted to these DAQ instruments for a small rig that does not use LabView it will be used for characterisation during development and can be used for production too Peter
