DMM for my very very specific customer - what fits the bill???

Question

I have a customer who has a GW- 8145 and GW-8135 on loan, but neither fit his requirements 'exactly'. The 8135 came close, but it doesn't give a true RMS on AC Volts.

I am now about to send two further DMM's on trial, the GWM-8245 and the TTI 1604. I beginning to believe none of these will fit his 'exact' requirements'....

Here are a list of his requirements, does anyone feel that they can come up with the model that would fit all of these?

1. Must be bench

2. Must give TRUE measurements on AC Volts

3. Must be simple to operate for students

4. Must be mains power

5. Must not be 'Tenma' (previous bad experience)

6. Priced around £250/200 Euro's each (need 50)

Any suggestions??

Hi Sam,

What about a TTI 1705, price for 10+ is £286.97 a bit over budget, but does claim to be true RMS, it is a bench instrument and it looks pretty straightforward to operate.

Alternatively, Digimess DM200, price for +5 110.16, also claims to give true RMS.

Are there any additional requirement for # of digitis / accuracy etc?
