BitScope Micro W/Raspberry Pi - DSO Update Process

Former Member

Question 1 ---  It is not clear to me whether or not the BitScope Micro DSO is updated with the latest changes when < sudo apt-get update > is run at the Raspberry Pi command line.  If not, are the BitScope people going to support the Pi update process after the release of DSO 3.0?

Question 2 Background --- I have been trying to use the various BitScope learning tools (at least the ones I can find) on Trello, Element14 and the BitScope web site. I have built the various test circuits presented by Karl-Ludwig Butte in his Raspberry Pi BitScope articles appearing in The MagPi.

At present I have Butte's clock generator powered by a variable power supply and using a MP01A adapter with BNC probe to input the clock signal to the BitScope Micro. This setup is being to used  in an attempt to familiarize with the BitScope controls; however, the information presented in BitScope User Guide does not line-up well with the BitScope Micro controls and that is is foiling my plans to become proficient with BitScope controls. I can find no issue date on the manual; however, I downloaded it from the BitScope web site.

I am not new to using an o-scope and I have refreshed my dated o-scope skills with "How to use an O-scope" information from Tektronics, Sparkfun and of course Element14 and BitScope.

Question 2 - Where can I find (if it exists) a user guide that is relevant control information for the BitScope Micro?

I would like to get up to speed with the BitScope Micro and get back to building PiBots; therefore, any advice / help you can provide to help me get up to speed with BitScope Mirco would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
