Tenma 72-13330 (and maybe 72-13320) documents and protocol

Hi, I am not sure if sharing these files is allowed here, but I wanted to share the documents that came on the disc since I couldn't find them anywhere on the internet. Might be useful for someone.

Something to note is that the serial commands must be terminated with 0xA (\n), which is different to the smaller Tenma supplies (72-2550 etc)

Impressed they are using UDP for that(!). It might be worth trying TCP in case it's a typo in the user manual. Otherwise, better to attempt to use USB or Serial, unless you really need Ethernet in this…

Hi Paulo, In that case, it will be possible to reverse-engineer hopefully. Can you install WireShark, and run it? You'll obtain a trace of the messaging, and you can work backwards from there.

I'm trying to communicate by ethernet but without sucess

I'm using python and use UDP protocol on potr 19180 as specified but doesn't work.

Does someone could use this kind of communication?

You may also have network or PC config issues, since most systems will block such ports and protocol combinations by default, unless it's your own network you've built/configured there.

I tried to use TCP but also doesn't work. Unfortunately user manual hasn't this kind of details.

I have a compiled program provided by supplier that works fine by ethernet so I think something is wrong with the IP specification.
