I was provided the opportunity to review the Welder soldering station WT series and the METCALG120-HP-T6. I recently changed the tip on the Welder. The old tip was oxidizing and not holding a tin. A tip change restored it to new. That being said I have often wondered about the welder autostart feature. The iron is in sleep mode (lower temperature) until it is moved and then the tip heats up to full temperature. The WT unit tested talked about the feature but it wasn't supported.
The WXsmart appears to be the Cadillac of soldering irons. When Cadillac was a car people were proud to own. I have some experience with RoadTesting irons. I would like to put that experience to use. I look forward to a review application opportunity.
