I am designing a circuit for transmitting electricity using resonating coils with resonance freqency in range of 20-50Hz with Sorce volage of 20 Vpp.
Does anybody knows something regarding maximizing power and distance of transmission for it??

Rohit, the frequency is too low for wireless transmission. Lots of attenuation. If you use 50 Hz the received signal will be very noisy if you use it in India, as there will be pick-up from power line. The range can be increased by following measures:
1. Optimum size of transmitting and receiving antenna. It should be of the order of wavelength. In your case, it is too large.
2. Transmitter power.
3. Frequency of operation
To increase the range I applied a new idea in RFID. Use multiple wired antenna. Multiplex it. Transmit and receive for a short range. Let's check whether you can apply this idea in your application.
There are a lot of developers working on wireless power. I had the opportunity to work on a project in Washington State a year ago. This is area of study is not for the faint of heart.
When it comes to distance and power transfer you will always be faced for propagation decay. You need to rebuild the decay in order to have power transfer. This has already been done....and of course there is a patent nailing it down.

Interesting project Chris ! What was the frequency of operation? Have you characterized the propagation decay for different type of environment e.g. too many metallic objects, water or liquid etc.?
Actually I am no longer part of the project.
I moved on to bigger projects. To be honest with you I cannot really discuss the project because of Non disclosure agreements in place. But i can say it exploited multipath to enhance the signal and rebuild the power. I cannot say how. The wavelength used was in the millimeter range and the system operated under 200 m for testing purposes. Again I cannot be specific.
Although I cannot discuss the details of that project I am avaliable to discuss your project and my experience with wireless power should help. But this should not happen in an open forum. Contact me directly if you would like my assistance.

Chris! Presently, I am not working on any wireless project. My present project is on oven control in smarter life challenge. I think, your response is for Rohit.
