Hello,

I bought a SN8200 Wi-Fi Module to connect my STM32F4 Discovery Board with my smartphone.

I connected the SN8200 and the STM32F4 as it is in the User Manual shown.

Do you have any code examples how to use Wi-Fi direct? Which Commands can I send from the STM32F4 to the SN8200?

I just had a quick look at the SN8200 user manual/datasheet from murata

Anyway - I don't see any reference to wifi direct in this datasheet.
Wifi direct is a fundamental extension of the capabilities of basic wifi, and if the controller doesn't have it as a feature, you're not able to drive it using application level commands to do the equivalent.

That said - you may be able to set it up as a standard access point/hotspot for your smartphone to connect to, and still have communication between smartphone and your STM32.
In that case I'd be looking for a "serial bridge" application example..... that should also include instructions/examples for connecting to it from the client side, too.

Hi Julian,

I had the same question about WiFi direct - looking at the Broadcom site (since the Murata doc's mention that the SN8200 uses the WICED SDK) it mentions WiFi direct as being supported so I would assume the core chipset does support WiFi direct - the question than is how to access that capability?

What are the support channels for this module to get an answer from the supplier?

Excuse me. Recently I bought Discover WiFi module with SN8200, but I didn't find the letter with access code to download software examples. Can you give me the link with this examples or access code, please?
