Looking for RF coaxial connector, APC 7mm

Hi everyone!

I'm a newcomer and I'm a little bit desperate looking for a special coaxial connector.

I'm designing and building a coaxial tube for a testing scattering parameters in a DUT.

I found the APC7 (Amphenol Precision Connector 7mm, sexless, BW 18GHz), which fits very well in my design.

And they're common in the test and measurement field, in VNA calibration kits, for instance, because of the low reflections.

The important mechanical, and, I guess, rare feature is that the inner conductor is threaded

(on the side connecting the cable, or in my case a rigid metal rod).

Specifically, its a bead contact with the cable side threaded to mate with a coaxial rigid airline.

But, I had problems in purchase it from several vendors. So, my questions are:

* Do you know any vendor or reseller from which I could get this APC7 (few quantity, 2-4 units)?

* Do you know any connector (in principle reaching 18GHz) which has a threaded inner conductor, like APC7?

I've inserted a link to the Amphenol RF web page where you can find the specs and drawings of the APC7 among others.

http://www.amphenolrf.com/products/precision.asp?N=0&sid=4B203A005D56617F&#specs7

I hope that I have expressed my problem clearly,

and many thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately, we can’t find any APC-7 connector on our Newark and Farnell web site. This kind of connector is not very common, so maybe you can use some adaptor to convert APC-7 to another type of connector such as SMA.

http://www.newark.com/agilent-technologies/11533a/coaxial-adapter-apc-7-to-sma-male/dp/99K4718 this is an APC-7 to SMA adaptor.

    Hi wendydu,

many thanks for your message and the proposal, but in fact I'm using this adaptor to convert from APC7 to SMA.

The point is that I need to add two ports to my coax setup and the most suitable connector for that, in principle, is the APC7 connector with threaded center conductor terminal in the cable side (in my coax setup the cable center conductor would be a brass rigid barrel).

So, once I have my setup with this APC7 ports, I use the APC7-SMA adaptor to be able to use standard SMA semirigid cables connected to my coax setup.

Again many thanks and happy new year,

    Juanjo.

I have a small manufacturer in mind for your APC 7MM. Ask for Mike Brewer. http://www.connectronicsinc.com/
