Just a quick update - the replacement touchscreen came in while I was traveling this week, but it is up and running! I am all complete now!

Thanks Nico - the hood has been awesome and is a great conversation piece. I liked especially how it was a truly multi-discipline. There was a little bit of everything in this - electrical design, PCB layout, then lots of CAD work - sheet metal design, 3D printing and the cool air baffle.

It has been installed and running for nearly a year now, so I'm planning out a follow-up post talking about how it has been working.

And I'm also very impressed with your smd soldering skills!

Nice update. The screen functions are pretty cool. Nice to see what is going on (sensor wise) while you are at work with the cooking.
