Hello Everybody,

So far I have received the KIT image

Now I am starting with the following activities:

My first task is to setup the kit - Mount the Intel Edison and make it run. I have watch a couple of videos in youtube how  to do it, so for this week, I think that this will be my task.

I want also to run just one sensor, to know that it is running and there to get run the others.

As you can see from my proposal, I have a weather station for inside and outside, however I don't have enough sensors from the KIT and I plan to use DS18B20 sensros as well as DHT22/DHT11 and BMP180/BMP280. Also I will use luminosity sensors TSL2561 - this is for the outside weather station. I want to catch the following parameters:

1. Air Temperature

2. Air Humidity

3. Luminosity

4. Air Pressure

From the BMP180/280 by some conversion and formula I will try to calculcate the Altitude according to the sea level (I think this is easy step).

About the VHS Box - I already open it and found that the condition of the box is not very good. Over the years in the basement, the moisture almost make it for the trash - everything is covered with a layer of rust. I am cleaning this stuff and then I plan to use only the power (if it works). Later I will post some pictures.

This weekend I have installed the cables for the outside weather station. I put all the cables in cable enclosures under the parquet sill, so it becomes very nice and clean. I will post pictures later and you will not even believe that there are 4 x 4 wires cables image

I also plan to install the relay board to power up my raspberry.

About the video: I am not sure I will be able to get out any video signal, so as in my proposal I will use the raspberry pi, and I will trigger it with the relay (I don't want to work continuously).

These are my tasks for this week, I hope to be ready with the weather station, because the most difficult part will be with the Internet service and also with the automation of the VHS Cassette Deck as in my proposal I will use it for secret store some jewelry.

Possibly the MCU could talk to the one wire devices and report values back to the CPU?

I plan to use DS18B20 sensros as well as DHT22/DHT11 Be aware the Edison due to timing issues can't run it as an Arduino sketch. First Steps - Intel Edison Arduino 2 There are others that run the one wire…
