Intel's Eclipse-based IDE

konstantinoskonstas
konstantinoskonstas over 6 years ago

I am considering of using Intel's Eclipse-based IDE.

However I have a problem. I am on a 4-core ATOM laptop (64 bit) that has factory installed Win 10 Home edition, aka 32 bit. At Intel's Development site there is only Win 64 bit version to download. Does anyone know where I can get a Win 32 bit one?

Perhaps Huzefa, Martin or Mark could help.

Thanks in advance,

Konstantinos

Thanks a lot. I will spend the day trying it. I am not sure of the version I should experiment with.

We have Ver. 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 5.0 so I will start from Ver. 3.0 and see how it goes.

It would be very nice if the doc would explain the version it refers to. Unless I missed something due to my age.

One thing is sure, that it cannot be done with the Installer version.

Pity because by looking at the following page : IntelRegistered Edison Module Downloads

https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads , it is only on the Installers selection for the current IntelRegistered IoT Developer Kit release that has only : Windows* 64 bit ,   OS X* ,   Linux* selections.

Further down to : Microcontroller (MCU) SDK for example you get Download options for Windows* 32 bit, Windows* 64 bit, OS X*, Linux* 32 bit, Linux* 64 bit !

I think a large number of laptops and netbooks come with Win10 Home pre-installed nowadays. Up till now, I've been using CAD and Spice with that version with no problem. So there should be a provision for that.

Anyway, I will spend my day on that and see what happens.
