I have been thinking about doing something like this with the car project but have not quite got my head around the software. There's scratch blocks which is very similar to the Scratch Jr my daughter has already used https://scratch.mit.edu/developers
I suspect it's probably just a case of installing it and spending a few hours playing to see how it ticks.
