A quick start guide for how to get started developing with EFM32, EZR32, and Simplicity Studio. Also includes some basics on prototyping with sensors, and contains helpful documentation to aid in development.

I like their initiative, but there are lots of microcontrollers in existence that they could have used to solve this particular problem. That said, I am hoping to see someone in the contest prove me wrong…

DAB, I think that there are tons of reasons they have chosen this board instead of another, also if equivalent. And the choices can be totally independent by the specific hardware (supposed) superiority…

The one thing that might set the SiLabs boards apart is the low energy aspect. I know there are basically low energy micro wars going on right now. So I'd have to do some pretty major research to prove…

I don't think this is the ultimate board for agricultural applications. It's obviously a diy board for prototyping as many other boards out there
In ny case, in my opinion it's a really good board and I really like the quality of the sofware and samples provided

What do you think of a custom board, specifically designed for agricultural applications, based on the EFM32 micro?

The example code and IDE are definitely superior.
