Additional Coils

I may be missing the point here, but I need input. Lots of it!

I got an email from element14 regarding the supply of addional coils. Without the management IC or module? What am I supposed to do with them?

Additionally I want to ask how and if a single coil can be used like in the case of a phone charger?

Thanks in advance.

Luckily I come from the bottom of the world, and understand 'merci' Gern geschehen This link suggests there are some that don't, although I'm not sure its entirely accurate.

If you design your own receiver hardware or want to put the coil further away from the electronics without demolishing the demo circuit,  you'll need additional coils.

You can order these at Farnell, or contact your local Wuerth distributor whether they're willing to support you if you build your own circuit.

I participtated in the previous Wireless Charging Roadtest Challenge, and equiped several devices with a receiver circuit (LEGO train, robot, LEGO battery pack, LED circuit), where each of course needed its own charging coil...
