    I'd use this kit to learn linux, tinker around with the GPIO possibilities and, when I have enough knowledge to know what I'm doing, make a portable Raspberry Pi Linux computer !

    I Would use this in my main tv since my current Media center takes up a lot of space , I used a lot of scrap parts to put this "half a laptop" together

    I would use it on my Harley Davidson... I am currently in the process of custom building a Harley Bagger, being able to use Raspberry Pi with an integrated 7" monitor, that will be connected to the motorcycles internal computer. The Raspberry Pi will be able to display the output modules of the Speed, RPM, Gears, Turn signals, and Fuel Gauges. This will all be done while set up to run a radio app or integrating itunes onto the platform. Also installing a GPS navigation software and utilizing a USB GPS puck to have turn by turn directions.

    I'd hide it in by dash of my car and use it to feed audio/video to my head units compost in. I'd probably add a dedicated battery & Energy harvester to run this mobile media center on my lunch breaks.

    I have not tried the Pi out but would very much like to. I have an old upright wooden radio cabinet that I have been wanting to convert into a media streamer and this would be the most cool way to do it. I thought about maybe doing an instructable on it as well. I watched the Ben Heck video on it and it seems like something I could do. Thanks Ben! I would even get to experiment with Linux!

    I really want an MP3 BlueTooth Jukebox.  It will have a blue tooth remote to skip through songs and adjust volume.  It will have lights that flash with the music beat.  I will have a 9" to 12" subwoofer and 3" to 6" tweeters connected to an amplifier depending on the size of jukebox.  I will also be using a small TFT LCD with touch screen abilities for additional control.

     

    It would be great to modify an existing jukebox "model" such as a radio or some other jukebox toy, and make it really work.  I would remove the internals, install the pi, screen and speakers.  Many of these already have built in lights I can connect up to the pi to make them flash with the music!

     

    The jukebox will also have wifi and all I need to do to add music is drop the files into a foder chared via the SAMBA protocol.  The jukebox will periodically scan the mp3 folder and add new songs that will be played by genre, group name, or song name alphabetically.

     

    Currently with Amazon prime I get music videos, I would over time add these to the jukebox.  These videos would show on the TFT screen when they cycle into the playlist.

     

    A really cool idea would be to find an interface for a streaming service so it can play the songs from the streaming service.  However at first I would want to use my private MP3 collection.

     

    Various jukebox softwares already exists and I could modify the code to my needs for the remote and the other functionality.

     

    An example of such a jukebox I could modify.  This one is about 20" high and 10" wide.  I may need a bigger one for serious sound but I may opt to put smaller speakers and use an external speaker box to augment the sound when needed.
