I'm working on getting all the files posted and linking the github to the peisode, but here is what we have for now. https://github.com/thebenheckshow/244-tbhs-raspberry-pi-zero-portable

Do you know when the parts list will be updated on the GitHub?

Really like this build. Something relaxing about soldering. Enjoyed watching Ben solder up the switch matrix. Really cool build, and awesome video.

I put the filter circuit together and tested it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qSvl7BbGQ8

It's very distorted and quiet even though the mixer volume is set to 100% but as a proof of concept it works image

Thanks for the reply. This Adafruit document https://learn.adafruit.com/adding-basic-audio-ouput-to-raspberry-pi-zero/overview seems to explain it well. I'm going to be tackling it in the next few days.

We didn't wire it up during the episode. Wasn't sure what PWM pins to use. This whole thing was built in 2 days ran out of time image

A fun challenge for whoever wins the contest!

I can see that it's been asked multiple times in the YouTube comments and also in this thread but can someone from TBHS tell us how the headphone jack was wired up without using any filter circuit?

All the information I can find shows that one is needed but that wasn't shown in the video.

    Thanks

    Dave

    Nice Build Benjamin,

Is it possible to release the code for the keyboard matrix, I'm planning to experiment with an unturned server I put together real quick. I don't know why I always write in a formal layout but hey who cares?

Quite nice episode, but I think it's a little fast on the circuit and wiring. Which method you used to get the audio out of the RPi Zero? PWM+filter? There are just a few frames showing the connections and I can't see the filtering circuit....

    Nice Episode.

Took me back to my early days when we had to make our own keyboard interfaces for microprocessors.

I always tried to use interrupt driven interfaces to keep polling to a minimum.

The interrupt also can provide a level of button debounce.
