I'm working on getting all the files posted and linking the github to the peisode, but here is what we have for now. https://github.com/thebenheckshow/244-tbhs-raspberry-pi-zero-portable

Do you know when the parts list will be updated on the GitHub?

Really like this build. Something relaxing about soldering. Enjoyed watching Ben solder up the switch matrix. Really cool build, and awesome video.

Be sure to use the raspberry pi zero with camera attachment for some image recognition. Maybe you/Max could combine it with the upcoming pokemon go and have it be able to recognise major colors defining the pokemon on a cell phone screen, and have it function almost like it did in the anime.

Max just got really excited at the idea of creating a Pokedex.

    I'm taking a guess here....

https://learn.adafruit.com/introducing-the-raspberry-pi-zero/video-outputs gives a good description of what's available on the zero. If you stop the TBHS video at around 6:43, you can see wires from the headerless TV output so I'm assuming the connection is going to the analog input on the LCD controller board.

That is a very nice build!

Any chance you can share how the wiring is done betwteen the RPi Zero and the LCD driver board?

    Thanks,

    Alex.

I haven't been able to acquire a raspberry pi zero yet, but if I did I would want to explore the possibilities to put it in the original tiger electronics pokedex and reuse the keyboard already integrated there.

It might be doable considering this episode though?

Is there any chance you can post Felix's code for the keyboard matrix?

    Thanks

    Dave
