  • where can we get the templates for the power supply case you build in this video?  seems like a good design i'd like to replicate.

  • An addition I would make to your vacuum manifold would be a 3rd valve with a vacuum hose attached that you could open when you were done with your routing to clean up the last bits missed by the collection system. I have a few of those ports in my shop for sawdust cleanup.

  • Its really important that you have a ground line in the system to prevent static from developing in the air stream. THIS IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN A SIMPLE BYLINE IMPLIES...  This can cause lost communications to your servos or steppers - wasting material, or worse be potentially destructive to controller electronics. The ground line should run thru the entire air stream -  collector, piping and vacuum, then ground to the frame of the machine, the controller, the pc, and ideally earth ground. This is critical if you route any plastics or foams.

     

    Additionally - if you route any aluminum using a coolant misting system and chip recovery, explosive vapors can develop in the vacuum during operation. i disconnect my chip system and table vacuums when routing aluminum.
