I am a 76 year old Canadian. I graduated from university last month and have been looking for a new challenge.

3-d printing and Arduino could provide employment in the small community that I live in. I am thrilled by the resources offered by element 14

Hay Ben, I'm new at this but very pumped to give it 100%. I have advanced-basic electronics skills. I have my Arduino Uno and have been doing lots of experiments. I would really like to try my hand at the 3D printer build. My question: in your early build you used the MC-Mega with RAMP shield? I found them to be $$$. Do you think I should go with that or is there something newer now that will work as good or better? And what stepper motors should i use? Thanks for YOUR time Ben.

I tried putting one of these together for my CEO with someone on my team. My co-worker forgot an important bolt, and I didn't catch the mistake until I was almost done. ARGH! Now I am stuck taking it apart to do it right myself . . . and the printer has yet to be assembled. Glad to see someone can do it right! :-)
