I was experimenting with the lm35 dz temperature sensor to see if it would work like a transistor. Amazingly, it acted the same as a PNP transistor. Can someone tell me why this is?

Obviosly, it can not act as a PNP, for example if you polarize it as a PNP working at saturation point, to voltage on the output will depend on the resistor un the base, the current that LM35 draws from VCC to its GND...etc
