What am I supposed to build?Terms and Conditions

 

Hack Like Heck is an element14 video talent competition. Because it makes for good theater, the program was divided into 6 acts, with the First Act being auditions and the Second Act being a declaration of intent to participate. The Second Act, the declaration of intent to participate, closes on March 31st.  The first act allowed us a chance to get to know you better and see how you looked in front of the camera.  It also gave you a chance to win a free Bill of Material, just like the one that Ben Heck used to build a Raspberry Pi MAME.  Everyone that auditioned won a free Ben Heck T-shirt.

 

If you were not one of the top 10 audition finalists, don't worry, as long as you've declared your intent, you're still eligible to win!

 

Everyone who submits a Declaration of Intent by 31-March is eligible to participate.

  • Congrats! Can't wait to see the final results. There's some real talent here folks!!!

    It's unfortunate that my entry didn't make the list, but I did have troubles understanding the rules out the gate. (Some others seemed to have confusion as well.) Also, I entered my video in a rush, and it's a rough edit I cut from my original 10 minute audition video that I found out was too long.

     

    Good thing all the parts needed for my build are upgrades in comparison to the BOM. Luckily I was approached for an Official Sponsor recently!!! Kitschbent has been kind enough to supply me with everything from the case, all buttons, LEDs, battery PCB, speakers, amp...All the necessities that surely add up when bought individually. So I really have him to thank for keeping my project afloat with the rest of the entries!
