Create a Magic Makeup Mirror with Pose Detection -- Episode 559

Lorraine has always found putting on eyeliner difficult. Being a Maker she decided to build a technical solution to her problem. Using machine learning on a raspberry pi and a very cool round screen Lorraine created a tool that would draw the eyeliner on her face during a live video. That way Lorraine could just trace the lines! Watch the highs and lows of creating a Magic Makeup Mirror!

I like the arducam cameras. I had one that had such a bigger field of view than a raspberry pi camera.

oh yeah, the Jetson is much better for this kind of processing, but they're all sold out! I needed 6 for a project and couldn't even buy 1

Nice project.

I do not need a make up magic mirror, but I can see the advantages of having some help in applying anything to your face without glasses.

I can see it as a great boon to anyone who has to apply medicine or skin care to areas of the face. I do suffer from eczema, so applying some lotion around the eyes does get tricky.

In every fail there is a wealth of things to learn, I look forward to your next attempt.
