So much time wasted every day standing at my sink filling water bottles. I finally decided that I need to automate this process. I am going to use a Raspberry PI, some custom water valves driven by a servo, a water filter and instant hot water heater to make my own automatic hot and cold water dispenser with presets so I can walk away while the water bottle, coffee or French press fills itself!

I'm surprised that there's a servo that will turn a 1/4 turn valve. Those beasts are stiff. Nice build.

Hi Mike, Thank you, Those 25kg servos are pretty great. I did have to use the XP power 5v DC supply to get enough current to run them with the valve, but they have no problem with it at all.

Awesome build, have you considered using a peristaltic pump with a stepper motor rather than the servo motor attached to the ball valve?
