This ZIP Halo has 24 RGB LEDs in a circle that gets attached around the micro:bit so the onboard LED array is still visible and can also be used. Get started programming the Halo as Karen shows how to control individual LEDs, how to change colors, use presets, as well as create your own custom colors, design, and patterns.

That is not an option in the block editor. It might be possible if you code in Javascript instead of the block editor, but I'm not sure if it's capable of using HSV values. That would be neat and a lot easier though.

makerkaren - now if only you had this for the compass episode, you could have had a compass with LEDs at 15 degree intervals.

Does the software allow you to use HSV values instead of RGB values ? If so, by adjusting the value of hue alone, it would allow you to rotate through the colour wheel.
