Introduction

Since the Open Arduino and the Star Wars - A New Hope anniversary are aligned, I'm going to take a shot at combining these two events into an Arduino Powered MSE-6 (a.k.a. Mouse Droid). This is the little wheeled droid that Chewy roared at causing it to run off scared. Apparently there is a whole Mouse Droid Builders group and many examples of how to build this but most seen to be Radio Controlled. My intent is to create a completely autonomous MSE-6 that can self navigate an area and as well as go to a designated location.

Based on Star Wars lore, these were maintenance droids used to perform minor repairs or as messenger bots which were voice activated to open and deliver a private message. My version will include WiFi (and/or Bluetooth) where the Droid can be accessed remotely and given instructions for its next task.

There is not a lot of time til the submit date, so I am going to merge my Robots on Wheels project and the Open Arduino project since there is some overlap in sensors and such.
