We're Giving Away Up to 3 Monarch LTE Kits to Use in an Upcoming Monarch Go Workshop! or Sign Up to RoadTest:  AVNET Monarch LTE-M Development Kit -- EU

Follow along with engineers from Avnet as they give you a hands on experience using  the Monarch LTE-M Development Kit, a cellular IoT enablement platform featuring the NXP LPC55S69-EVK and the Monarch Go Arduino Shield. The Monarch Go LTE-M modem component is perfectly suited for a broad range of IoT applications, including telemetry, vending machines, agriculture sensor applications, asset and transportation trackers, hardware tools, and home security monitoring applications.  Arduino form factor enables use with NXP EVK and third-party boards.  The Monarch Go Arduino Shield in conjunction with the LPC55S69-EVK is enabled with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud support. The click module ecosystem enables sensors, interfaces, displays, motor controls and more to allow for thousands of LTE IoT development applications.  The Monarch Go Arduino Shield also has an onboard VEML6030 ambient light sensor and a SE050 plug-and-trust secure element. The availability of these capabilities on board enables prototyping of both motion and secure LTE applications out of box.The Monarch Go Cat-M1 modem delivers the shortest possible route to market and lowest development cost for cellular IoT-connected devices. Unlike traditional cellular modules, this modem is certified for use on the Verizon network, which avoids costly lab testing while improving time to market. The Monarch Go has an integrated antenna and pre-installed Verizon ThingSpace IoT SIM card, giving developers an easy, cost-effective approach to developing LTE IoT solutions.

Getting Started Guide:

Session 2:

In this session, we will discuss and setup an IoT Central cloud based embedded user example. This involves creating an interactive dashboard that displays telemetry as well as offers led control on the LPC55S69-EVK. Next application code will be edited with the users device credentials for proper handshaking and then built/deployed on the LPC55S69-EVK. Finally, will discuss how a user would take this out of box example and expand on the functionality of the out of box design.

Agenda:

  • Introduce IoT Central and the advantages powered by Azure
  • Discuss the Azure IoT Central Embedded code
  • Build and deploy the embedded code on your hardware
  • Showcase the functioning interactive IoT Central dashboard
