This workshop session will focus on enabling getting our PSoC development kit connected over Wi-Fi and leveraging MQTT to create the framework of an IoT application. Topics will cover using Wi-Fi to connect to both a local MQTT broker, as well as a secure connection into AWS. We’ll leverage MQTT protocols to both control and receive data from our PSoC development kit.
What You Will Learn By Attending:
- Explore the available ModusToolbox connectivity examples projects
- Connect our development board to Wi-Fi
- Leverage a local MQTT broker to publish and subscribe to messages
- Connect our application to AWS

About ModusToolbox︎ Workshop Series:
Embedded developers must navigate the complexity of software tools, seeking out the most efficient development workflows and run-time resources that align to their product requirements. This workshop series centers around ModusToolbox software, Infineon’s answer to efficient embedded development. Throughout this virtual workshop we will be exploring the various IDEs, configuration tools, and workflows that support embedded application development. We will cover topics ranging from the basic getting started steps utilizing available sample projects to porting our application on to custom hardware.
Delivered as a 4-part bi-weekly series of virtual workshops, each 1-hour session will showcase using ModusToolbox in various development phases of an embedded application. Each session builds in complexity to provide a wholistic overview but can be viewed standalone with no perquisites of previous sessions.
The series will leverage the CY8CPROTO-062S2-43439 or CY8CPROTO-062-4343W development kit featuring the PSoC 62 microcontroller. Participants desiring to follow along can order this board using the following link. However, having a kit is not required to benefit from this workshop.
