With the Kria KD240 Drives Starter Kit, Motor accessory pack, Kria App Store, and support for Python as well as MATLAB and Simulink flows enable developers to be spinning a motor with field-oriented control loops out-of-the-box and then onto the next step to tune the pre-built algorithms to their needs very quickly for 1-to-n independent axes of control. With a curative out-of-the box experience, entry-level developers can get started without downloading an AMD tool or having prior FPGA development experience.

In this webinar, Karan Kantharia from AMD will provide an introduction to the AMD Kria KD240 Drives Starter Kit and how it can be used to accelerate the design of size-, power-, and price-sensitive industrial edge applications such as electric drives/motor control and other digital signal processing-intensive applications

What you will learn by attending:

  • Importance of high-performance digital signal processing (DSP) in controlling Silicon Carbide and Gallium Nitride power electronics used in modern motor systems and the resulting reduction in global electricity usage possible.
  • Realizing a Power-Efficient Future with the New, Scalable AMD KriaTm K24 SOM
  • Scalability of the AMD Kria SOM portfolio to support connector compatibility between the complementary AMD Kria K24 and AMD Kria K26 SOMs
  • Support for hardware, software, and control system engineers, AI scientists and roboticists with Kria SOM-supported development flows
  • Features of the KD240 Drives Starter Kit and the two optional motor accessories.

Find out how the AMD Kria K24 SOM and AMD Kria KD240 Drives Starter Kit lowers the barriers to entry for developers to access power-efficient DSP with high compute density for any application benefiting from low latency, deterministic, and reliable behavior.
