Greetings members,
We are planning a webinar with Adam Taylor for those of you are familiar with him from his MicroZed Chronicles and posts on Hackster amongst other places. In the past we've done an exciting PYNQ workshop with Adam, and we're excited to get him back on the community for a webinar on Versal. Versal is a highly versatile and innovative platform developed by AMD, that integrates various processing elements such as CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and AI engines onto a single chip. It offers advanced capabilities for accelerating artificial intelligence, machine learning, networking, and data center applications, providing flexibility, performance, and energy efficiency.
There isn't a lot on the community right now on Versal so we are looking for where you would like to get started. Here are a couple of tech spotlights where Versal is discussed:
- What is an Adaptive Compute Acceleration Platform (ACAP)?
- Adaptive Computing for Compute Intensive and Latency Sensitive Workloads
I would also highly recommend checking out the following articles from Adam Taylor to get more ideas on what you would like to see covered:
- MicroZed Chronicles: Hello World from Versal and Vitis
- MicroZed Chronicles: Versal Part One
- MicroZed Chronicles: Versal Part Two – Device Architecture
- MicroZed Chronicles: Versal Address Map and DDR Memory Controller
- MicroZed Chronicles: Versal Clocking Resources
- MicroZed Chronicles: Versal AI Edge and TE095
- MicroZed Chronicles: Creating a Versal AI Edge Design
- MicroZed Chronicles: Versal Debug
Hopefully, that gives you some ideas on what you want to hear about for this webinar. In the comments below let us know what you want to see from Adam Taylor! Here's a poll as well to help get the ideation started:
