Random E14 goodies

I don't know about you, but I have a strange fascination watching a parcel making its way towards me across the globe. It's even better when the contents of the package are a mystery. A part of E14's random generosity, I recently found such a mystery package on the way.

I didn't have too long to wait until the package arrived. I was glad to see - for the sake of the environment - it was a nice small, re-used box. In it was a nice E14 present of a T-shirt, some stickers, and a breadboard. After seeing Dubbie's breadboard BattPackHack BattPackHack #1 : The Battery PowerPack Holder I shall have to find a suitable way to modify mine. I'll try to go for something different but I don't know what yet.

Don't forget that if you post stuff here on Element14 you may also find some random goodies on the way to you.

Anyone else think that Elon Musk looks very different with a moustache?

Almost everyone I know enjoys the anticipation of an event. While a surprise is nice, anticipation builds as you move towards the event.

I too like an unexpected parcel or goodies. Surely everyone does! A consequence of getting a bit older with a less reliable memory is that many of the parcels I receive are effectively unexpected and random. Quite a few Amazon parcels have arrived and I think 'I don't remember ordering that' or from Element14 'I wonder what I did to deserve this?'. So I get triple the fun; first I think I want something or take part in some Element14 thingy; then sometime later it arrives unexpectedly; and finally I get to play with it.

Sadly, I am now finding that i have purchased most of the robots available from Amazon (at sensible prices) and new types of mobile robot appear only very sporadically. Still, at present I have a commission to make some sort of humanoid type robot as a table decoration at a wedding. Lots of 3D printing. I think it will keep me going for quite a few weeks.
